Have decided to embark on another peplum blouse, this time with the exact waistlength.

Fabric for Peplum:
I have re-calculated the circumference of the front and back peplum. Will do another blouse with the correct measurement.
1. When calculating the circumference of the circle, should minus the dart’s measurement.
Circumference = Front Waist (1/4) – 3 cm (dart) x 4
2. The front and back circumference should not be the same as the waistlength is different.
Fabric:
Decided to change the fabrics to white satin, this can be mixed with either the apple yellow or the pink. Either that, or can use the satin bought from that auntie from people parks.
Bodice : apple yellow or pink (depends on the left over)
Peplum : white satin (plus chiffon)
Some updates for this peplum blouse:
1. Front Bodice with darts sewed
2. Back bodice with darts
3. Front lining
4. Back linings
5. Front and back Peplum pinned together
6. Back peplum joined to front peplum.
7. Side seams pinned together
8. Front bodices joined to back bodices
8. Peplum pinned to Bodices.
Just realized I have made two mistakes about the peplum:
1. When calculating the circumference of the circle, I have forgotten to take out the dart’s measurement.
Circumference = Front Waist (1/4) – 3 cm (dart) x 4
2. The front circumference and back should not be the same as the waistlength is different.
Will have to remember this in future.
1. After assembled the upper bodices to the peplum, Attached the facings to the neckline.
Closed up of the facings.
2. Tulip Sleeves decorated with trims
3. Zipper was pinned to the side seam before it was sewed.
Closed up.
4. Pinned the sleeves to armscye.
5. Redo the neckline as it was too small.

Tulip Sleeves:
Different way of creating the peplum for this blouse:
1. First draft
Zipper will be at the side seam and it will be 20″ long.
2. How to calculate the radius of the peplum semi-circle
3. Sleeves Design: four pleats altogether each facing each other
4. Pleat alignment of Sleeve:
5. Fabric: Fantasy Charmuese Satin, Pink
6. Draft pattern pinned to fabric
7. Front bodice
8. Back bodice
9. Pleated sleeve
10. Peplum
Have this thought of adding anonther layer of chiffon to peplum of this blouse.
Likely will use the fabric below:
Going to make another two variation of peplum blouses as it is the In trend currently.
Blue and White Peplum Blouse
This is the left over fabrics which I think quite suitable to match together. Sleeves and hem will be in white and the bodices in blue.
First Draft:
Zip will be at the side seam. Since the length of the side seam is 18″, will get a 15″ zipper.
1. Front Bodice
2. Back Bodice
3. Facing
4. Peplum
5. Tulip Sleeves
Thinking of adding another chiffon layer to the peplum. The fabric below could match the white perfectly.
