Potential Project : Cheesecloth Tunic, Empire Waist Dress and Stand Collar Blouses.

I am back to embark on the project for cheesecloth for three different designs namely: Casual tunic with tulip sleeves, Cyan Boat Neck Empire Waist Dress and Green Stand Collar Pleated Sleeve Blouse.

Project 1: Pink Casual Tunic Tulip Sleeves Tunic – Pink

Draft: A casual tunic with a single button to close up the split neckline. This will be much simpler than the original idea of a drawstring. The length of the sleeves will reached elbow and flare out from there. The tunic will be loosely fit to the body. Will consider whether to use lining later on.

Project 2: Cyan Boat Neck Empire Waist A-Line Dress

Draft: This design was taken from web and since I find it quite sweet, decided to embark on it. I could make use of the basic pattern for the empire waist dress and just make some alterations here and there. Cool~~ will try to work out the basic pattern.

Project 3: Green Stand Collar Pleated Sleeve Blouse

Draft: This blouse is also from one of the website I randomly search. The sleeves looks a bit complicated and I still trying to figure out how to go about drafting it. It looks pleated at the both sides.

Denim Blouse Blouse done!

Have completed this blouse except for th button holes.

Collars:

Have use pins to stable the collar stands, the length matches the neckline, so remember in future, must pull the collar when sewing so that top and bottom is in the same length.

Sleeves:

Again, suspected that the armscye is much longer than the armhole. the cap sleeves reached the under armscye. I have no choice but to open up the split sleeves so that it won’t be too tight.

Below is the completed project! yes~~!

Tulip Cap Sleeves:

One thing really puzzled me, the collar was somehow too short to fit the neckline by about 1.5cm. Don’t understand why but many be I have to use back the classic collar. Will see how tomorrow.

Another thing is, there is have a binding at the lower armscye as the sleeves cannot cover the whole armscye. Will have to think of whether to use those ready made binding or cut from the cloth.
