Just realized I have made two mistakes about the peplum:

1. When calculating the circumference of the circle, I have forgotten to take out the dart’s measurement.

Circumference = Front Waist (1/4) – 3 cm (dart) x 4

2. The front circumference and back should not be the same as the waistlength is different.

Will have to remember this in future.

Steps to be continued from what have stop:

With the lesson learnt from the previous project, I have decided to discard the lining for the upper bodice, so only the lower part of the dress with lining.

1. Cut and press the interfacing to the facing.

2. Sew the darts for both top and lower garment.

3. Sew the darts for the lower linings.

4. Attach the side seam of the top front and back bodice together.

5. Attach the side seams of lower front and back bodices together, as well as the side seams for lining.

6. Join the top and bottom bodices including the lining, wrong sides facing each other together, with lining on top of the garment.

7. Join the shoulder seams together.

8. Measure the length of zipper, join the remaining of the zipper seams together.

9. Attach the zipper to the central back of the dress and sews accordingly.

10. Attach the sleeves to the dress.

11. Use straight hemming stitch to complete the sleeve band and dress hems.
